Shared goal: beautiful cartons, optimal print image

The specific printing processes used by SIG Combibloc require you to consider a number of important points when designing your carton. To produce an optimal print image on the carton, we're happy to assist our customers and their design departments or agencies by providing an overview of everything that needs to be borne in mind.

The basis for every design:
the keylines

Our keylines form the basis for all carton designs on SIG Combibloc cartons. For each carton format and volume (e.g. combiblocMidi (cb8) 1,000 ml), there is a file with all the technical information, such as cut lines and crease lines, as well as text areas.

The same colours, with different names:
the colour book for rotogravure printing

Colours from colour systems such as Pantone cannot be used in the SIG Combibloc print process, as the Food Regulations and the carton material limit the choice of colours. But that doesn't mean you have to do without these colours. The SIG colour guide contains all spot colours that can be used in our specific rotogravure printing process and on our packaging material. Go ahead and create your design using Pantone colours. In the pre-print process, we'll adjust these to our colour system with the best possible match.

We'll be happy to send you the SIG colour guide, so that you can select the required colour. Please fill out the form below to order our colour book.

More and more consumers are looking out for it:
the FSC label

As of the end of 2009, all SIG Combibloc production sites and sales organisations world-wide have been certified in accordance with the FSC's criteria for a continuous product chain of custody (CoC). This certification makes it possible, with relevant agreement between customer and SIG Combibloc, for our cartons to be labelled with the FSC logo.

The FSC Labelling Guide shows how the FSC logo can be displayed on the carton so that it is clear for the consumer.
